My name is Olga Arsenova and I work in the reserve based finance team within SG corporate and investment banking activity. This is a specialized team which deals with financing and investments in the oil and gas sector worldwide. My career with SG started in 2006 when I joined Société Générale for a 6 month internship. One thing about my job that I like the most is that it includes a broad range of responsibilities which I could broadly classify as internal and external work. For example internal work would be anything from preparing pitches, contacting clients and doing financial analysis, financial modeling, taking the deal through different internal approvals. On the external side we deal with consultants, lawyers, we talk to other banks to make sure that the deal is properly marketed and executed externally. One other important thing about SG which was a great differentiator for me is that it is a truly global bank and it promotes a culture of diversity, people’s talent and teamwork.
