Hello. My name is Marius Caracotta. I work in the corporate and investment banking division of Société Générale, in London, as an associate. My team is in charge of global coverage of investment banking clients for major energy companies around the world. We provide financial advisory, financing with the international capital markets, and risk management as well as strategic development advisories for our clients. It is very challenging and exciting work where I am in contact with very talented people from both the investment banking world and the corporate world. I joined the bank in 2006. In fact I discovered Société Générale with many other investment banks during the student job fairs. I was part of the organization team for the job fair in my university and Société Générale really made a difference. After about a year on the trading floor for fixed income and derivative products, I was offered a new mission to develop the Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS energy sector. I was very positively surprised by the great support I got from the experienced bankers around me, in particular I had great mentors which enabled me to progress very quickly, gain very valuable experience and the know-how to make the difference. I have the opportunity to travel to many countries around the world, to meet great companies, help them achieve their strategic goals, and deliver very innovative products and work on very great mandates.
