My name is Nicolas Mirieux and I work for Société Générale investment banking. I am global control manager for the cash equity activities within operation departments of the bank. Operation departments are in charge of supporting front office activities and notably all post-trade events related to those activities. As far as I'm concerned, I’ve been working for Société Générale for almost 4 years, but within 3 different offices. After the end of my internship in the Paris head office, as an internal control assistant, I was sent to the Hong Kong office to implement an internal control team for Asian operations. This was for me a very successful experience, because I wanted to work with international people, I had the opportunity to meet different people from different Asian countries, so it was a very, very successful experience for me. After this experience, I was sent to the London office, to set up a new control team for the cash equity activity of the bank. So this is my current role, and I’ve been doing it for almost a year. To me, this is what we usually say in the bank: “A team, one dream”.
