My name is Eric Fahri, I work for the IT department of the fixed income desk. I work as a front office developer. My main responsibility is to support the trading team; this consists of building and executing market simulations, and developing new tools to provide any relevant information that the trading team may want. I’ve been with SG for 2 years; I started with an internship and then I was hired 6 months later. When I first came to SG I saw the massive investment that SG is making in information technologies. SocGen follows the IT trend in major innovation, so I think this is a good way for an engineer to keep up with new technologies and work with cutting edge systems. When I came to London I thought that my work would be with the London team, but I have been surprised by the fact that I work with the Paris team, the New York team, and sometimes I’m in contact with Tokyo or Sydney, so international is meaningful here.
